Job Description

Position: Permanent Facility Maintenance Labourer
Location: Gatineau
Salary: $47,840 to $52,000 based on experience (when working Wednesday-Sunday hourly wage will be increased by $5/hour)
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Schedule: 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (once every 8 weeks Wednesday to Sunday)

What you Need to Succeed:

- 3+ years of experience in preventive and general maintenance in commercial buildings
- 3+ years of experience in general contracting, renovation and construction
- Clean criminal history
- DEP in general building maintenance or equivalent (is an asset)
- Bilingual to speak with contractors and visitors from Ontario

:

- Perform general maintenance and repair work
- Maintain/repair tiles, floors and suspended ceilings
- Maintain/repair walls including painting and repairs
- Perform the maintenance of appliances, and electrical equipment
- Perform the maintenance of the swimming pools as well as the maintenance, cleaning and water analysis of the fountains
- Set up and take down of event spaces
- Respond to requests from internal customers
- Perform daily tours of the mechanical rooms and floor drains of the building
- Assist tradespeople or technicians when required
- Execute all other tasks related to the maintenance of the building
