Position summary:
As a member of the perioperative team, the successful candidates will report to the Perioperative Patient Care Manger/delegate and will be responsible and accountable to assist with clinical support services for patient care to support safe, efficient and effective care for patients/families throughout the perioperative process. Responsibilities include: services related to patient, equipment, specimen and supply transport; assisting with patient positioning and transfers; room turn over and set up; maintaining a clean and safe environment in all peri-operative areas; maintaining inventory by stocking supplies in designated areas in accordance as assigned, and other related duties as required.
Position requires availability 7 days a week on a rotational basis with alternating start times and shift times can be subject to change.
Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Perioperative care experience preferred
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
• Be physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to work with a dynamic team
