/Requirements

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO), the Director of People Development is a forward-thinking visionary who is responsible for the design, development and program implementation of the company\xe2\x80\x99s talent development roadmap including, talent, leadership and competency development, in addition to performance management, succession planning and organizational design and development. Bringing the talent development strategy to life, this role will partner with People Business Partners to provide programing for senior business leaders to help effectively align structure, talent and leadership to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Working collaboratively with the People Business Partners to understand the talent requirements of the global organization and develop programs and tools to help leaders effectively, build and enhance a high-performance culture, in alignment with their overall business strategy
  • Lead program design, management and implementation of core talent programs and processes, understanding best practice, and trending, which is assessed and analyzed in alignment to IMAX business strategy and culture, to drive continued growth, development, and engagement across our global teams
  • Proactively diagnosing insights to deliver practical recommendations, evaluating and measuring of the effectiveness of talent management systems/programs, leveraging critical stakeholders to scale programming as the company continues to grow and evolve
  • Monitor workforce analytics/trends and provide thought leadership and insights into talent management best practices
  • Partnering with People Business partners develop a coaching and mentoring program and act as an organizational coach or resource to assist with the identification of development opportunities to further leverage organizational capabilities, enhance competencies and reduce complexity, to partnering in maximizing client performance
  • Partnering with the Talent Acquisition team to build skill assessments and provide tools to assist with the effective evaluation of candidate pools
  • Establish, model and integrate diversity and inclusion initiatives within all aspects of the Global Talent strategies
  • Collaborate on change management, including leadership alignment and stakeholder engagement, efforts for company-wide initiatives
  • Define a framework for employee and organizational development practices across the company that accelerates readiness of successors for key roles
  • Develop communication and organizational change plans to ensure successful implementation of new programs and initiatives including providing tool kits, job aids, etc.
  • Oversee the performance management system, including standards of performance, and performance evaluation tools including leadership and technical competency models
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8+ years of professional HR experience specializing in Organizational Effectiveness/Development, Talent Management, Leadership development programs; preferably for a global organization
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Behaviour or related field; HR professional accreditation preferred
  • Leadership experience in the execution of Talent Development roadmaps and implementations, with a proven ability to understand business needs and translate to effective and impactful programing
  • Proven abilities with developing talent programing, which played an active role with global company culture shift, including enhancement of leadership competency
  • Hands on experience in designing and rolling out impactful and effective skills and knowledge training frameworks in a global matrix environment
  • Comfortable flexing between ideation, design, delivery and coordination of people programs
  • Demonstrated ability to position yourself as a collaborative and trusted business partner to help drive the talent agenda
  • Expert level facilitation skills and experience with training delivery
