Reporting to the Vice President - People, Culture & Community, the
People & Culture Manager
will be responsible for providing senior level employee relations partnership and problem-solving solutions to the leaders within IREN, specifically in Canada and supporting the United States and Australia where necessary.
This position will partner with our leaders to deliver on company and business requirements through the effective development and delivery of operational capabilities and organizational effectiveness, initiatives and programs. As IREN continues to grow, this role will be instrumental in working across the operations teams to deploy people programs, facilitate training, utilize guidelines and processes, and recruit for key roles across the company.
We have grown substantially since 2019, from our inception in Australia to now having several facilities across North America and being listed on NASDAQ... and we are just getting started! Job requirements
Minimum of 10 years of human resources work experience with proven career growth path in a global organization
Degree in human resources is required, CPHR designation is considered an asset
Strong knowledge and experience with Human Resource governance practices in Canada is required.
Experience with Canadian, American and Australian Human Resources practices highly advantageous, including knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory requirements to support legal compliance in these jurisdictions
Experience with HRIS systems (HiBob and ADP preferred, but not imperative) and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
Experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with the ability to adapt to evolving priorities and moving parts
Experience solving problems within complex, matrixed environments involving global stakeholders and projects with company-wide impact.
Ability to travel for work (Across BC and Texas), work flexible hours to support our global stakeholders and multiple time zones
Be an energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive team player who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical initiatives with a focus on developing operational talent and capability.
Possess strong verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with and influence individuals in different disciplines and at different levels
Demonstrate excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
High attention to detail with capabilities to focus on delivering on objectives to meet business requirements
Experience with various change management methodologies to support client groups through change initiatives
Job responsibilities
Engage with the operations and global business to provide a people perspective and supporting the successful execution of the following responsibilities:
Partner with leaders on workforce planning to anticipate future resourcing requirements based on business strategy, industry and market conditions; support with organization design, job descriptions and recruitment strategies
Support and partner with leaders to address employee relations issues including investigations, workplace conflict and performance management
Evaluate market compensation and internal equity structures to ensure competitiveness and alignment with company's compensation structure
Serve as an impartial consultant to mitigate risk to the company by ensuring fair treatment and a balanced approach for those impacted by the implementation of new policy, procedures and/or organizational change, problem resolution and human capital decisions
Collaborate with People & Culture colleagues on joint initiatives and programs advocating for consistency wherever practical
Advise and support with leadership development initiatives and programs; employee development training and learning modules
Develop and implement People & Culture initiatives and policies that are fit-for-purpose and based on best practices appropriate for the company's growth strategy
Anticipate the impact that new or cyclical People & Culture initiatives will have on the operations and the business and work with managers to implement them accordingly
Apply change management principles to design future-state changes across people, processes, and structure; prepare change plans and engage leaders in implementation.
Diagnose performance issues using critical thinking and thought leadership; work with managers and senior leadership to develop and implement solutions
Partner closely with the recruitment, global mobility & benefits, and HRIS system teams to ensure seamless execution of people processes and programs
Develop and implement policies, templates, guidelines, and procedures from first draft or enhance existing frameworks to ensure they are fit-for-purpose and aligned with business needs
Champion continuous improvement by ensuring the appropriate people structure, engagement model and recognition systems are in place
