People & Culture Business Partner

About the Role:



As our

P&C BP

, you'll serve as a

strategic partner and hands-on support

for our leadership team. You will lead with empathy, integrity, and expertise across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring a positive and productive workplace.

In this role you will:



Lead HR Initiatives:

Provide timely and effective HR services, from performance management and workplace accommodations to health & safety and attendance promotion. You'll be the go-to expert for disciplinary matters, investigations, and conflict resolution.

Interpret & Apply Policy:

Administer and interpret a variety of internal policies, procedures, and collective agreements, ensuring consistent and fair application.

Provide Labor Relations Expertise:

Confidently manage disciplinary matters, investigations, grievances, and conflict resolution.

Offer Strategic Advising:

Provide expert counsel on employment legislation, human rights, and union-related matters.

Support Team Development:

Partner with managers on staff development, retention, and succession planning.

Collaborate with HEABC:

Work closely with HEABC Labour Relations Consultants on grievance administration and collective agreement interpretation.

Drive Projects:

Support recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and workplace wellness initiatives.

What You Bring:



A university

degree or diploma in Human Resources

plus

three (3) years of related experience

in a

unionized environment

, preferably in healthcare. Demonstrated

understanding of relevant employment legislation

, including the BC Employment Standards Act, Canadian and BC Human Rights legislation, BC OHS, and BC Privacy legislation (PIPA and FIPPA). Experience with

BC Health Care public sector Collective Agreements

(HEABC) is a strong asset, specifically FBA, CBA, and NBA. Strong

interpersonal and communication skills

with a positive, approachable, and collaborative attitude.

Tech-savvy

with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, MS Teams, and OneDrive.

CPHR designation

(or in progress) is considered a strong asset.

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
