Position Description Summary



Reporting to the Senior P&O Business Partner, the incumbent will be responsible for handling a variety of personnel related administrative duties, including providing information and support to the People and Organization department and employees regarding P&O activities, policies, processes and procedures.


Principal Accountabilities



  • Responsible for updating all employee change data in the HRIS systems including new hires, leave management, terminations and compensation.
  • Responsible for full cycle hourly recruitment activities in response to approved vacancies for warehouse associates, including liaising with temporary agency and hiring managers to assess requirements, drafting of job postings, final selection process, and onboarding.
  • Conduct checks of all HR documentation and systems, for new hires and employee changes, ensuring quality standards are met
  • Maintain confidential, accurate and current employee files and information and ensure that all communication is in accordance with current approved templates, collective agreements and legislation.
  • Assist P&O Business Partners with the implementation of employee focused Company programs such as Employee Engagement Survey, Performance Review Process, Attendance Management Program, Talent Reviews etc.
  • Collective Agreement Interpretation and application.
  • First point of contact for employee and employer P&O inquiries.
  • Other P&O duties as required.



Knowledge and Skills


  • University and or College degree/certificate with a specialty in Human Resources Management or progressing towards achieving CPHR designation
  • Knowledgeable of Canadian legislation pertaining to the Employment Standards Acts, Occupational Health & Safety Act, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to interact at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Ability to speak Punjabi, Hindi and/or Urdu as a secondary language would be considered a strong asset.
