Role Summary

The People and Culture Coordinator plays an important role within the People and Culture department's effective operation. Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, this position provides administrative and service support to the department and Resort colleagues. Areas of responsibility include department support and administration through recruitment, onboarding and communication. The People and Culture Coordinator will have excellent communication skills and will maintain positive relationships.



Responsibilities

Responsible for providing support and assistance to colleagues with all requests and information Provide administrative support to the Director of People and Culture and department Responsible for the administration of the recruiting process Complete and post job descriptions, track candidate applications, complete screening interviews and maintain recruitment applicant tracking database Complete the screening of applicants and coordinate interviews with department heads and complete background checks and offers Coordinate interviews with department heads and People and Culture Responsible for the coordination of the background check authorization forms, including reference and background checks on final applicants Assist with preparing the onboarding aspects of new hires including arrival communication, offer letter and new hire paperwork Assist with preparation of training including documentation, resources, set up and support Tracking colleague documentation including training forms, certifications, licenses Facilitate orientation training to new colleagues Coordinate and attend local career fairs for recruiting and company recognition Responsible for updating manual and electronic employee records and files, tracking all employment documents and acknowledgements File all general documents and correspondence and ensure confidentiality in all matters Responsible for tracking participant enrolment, marks and other training information Assist with administration and execution of WSIB claims with colleagues, leader and provider including submission, return to work offers and plans and ongoing communication and training Coordinate the colleague recognition programs Spearhead colleague engagement and plan activities that best fit the resort's culture Update and maintain communications including intranet, wellness initiatives, job boards, and celebrations Assist with preparation of performance management and performance check-in documentation Assist with administrative responsibilities for the Health and Safety committee Responsible for administrative assistance with creation and design, reporting and tracking Follow industry trends and research new initiatives Keep current with all applicable laws and regulations Practice discretion and confidentiality of information per privacy and employment legislations Responsible for colleague communications and special administrative projects as requested Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required Other duties as assigned

Requirements

1 to 2 years of previous People and Culture experience including administration and recruitment Post-secondary degree, diploma or certification in People and Culture management CHRP designation or working towards completion Presentation skills an asset Previous resort or hospitality experience an asset Working knowledge of the Employment Standards Act in Ontario Must possess excellent customer service skills Must be computer literate. Preferred candidate will have previous experience with People and Culture management software, Microsoft Word, Excel and Publisher Strong verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Must be extremely responsible with integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion

Working Conditions

Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays Required to move, lift, carry, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance Stand, sit or walk for an extended period or for an entire shift Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting and pulling
