New Horizon Co-op is hiring a People and Culture Advisor at our Resource Office in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

What you'll do:
Support managers by advising, coordinating, coaching and providing recommendations on a variety of human resource related functions
Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes
Coordinate job postings and support hiring managers with shortlisting and interviews
Assist with performance management processes and employee development plans
Develop new, or improve, existing HR strategies, polices, procedures and practices
Maintain accurate HR records and prepare HR-related reports
Frequent onsite visits to provide HR support to operations
Support organizational change and employee engagement activities
Provide support to the Director on various People and Culture projects and initiatives
Other administrative duties as required

Who you are and what you have:
2-3 years of experience as an HR Advisor or Generalist
Valid driver's license
High School Diploma
High level of professionalism and adherence to confidentiality
Effective communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and presentation skills
Advanced computer knowledge and skills working with HRIS and Microsoft Office software
Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities
Ability to handle and safeguard sensitive and confidential information
A degree or diploma in Human Resources, and CPHR designation is an asset
