We are currently looking for a Pega-Lead Business Architect in Calgary, Alberta.



Key responsibilities include:



Scoping & Planning - 20%

o Responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to understand project requirements and define the project's scope. 4%

o Identifying potential risks and developing contingency plans. 2%

o Conducting feasibility studies to ensure that the proposed project is viable and aligns with the organization's strategic goals. 5%

o Identifying and managing project stakeholders. 2%

o Developing detailed requirements for the project based on stakeholder input and project goals. This includes creating use cases, and functional specifications. 7%

Requirements management - 60%

o Analyzing and synthesize business requirements, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes, reengineering, optimization. 10%

o Participating JAD workshop to capture Business & System requirements 10%

o Mapping functional requirements to Pega features and functionality 5%

o Contributing to the creation of test cases, traceability matrix, and summary-level business requirement documentation. 5%

o Managing backlog prioritization, backlog health, story review 5%

o Maintaining traceability of value drivers, business requirements to epics, features, user stories 10%

o Working closely with the development team to ensure that project requirements are accurately translated into technical specifications.10%

o Providing necessary guidance to testers during QA process 5%

Project Reporting - 20%

o Responsible for creating and maintain project schedules by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time and resources, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of the project lifecycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions and resolving conflicts. 10%

o Responsible for creating and maintain issue logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries and updates. 10%

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in a related field

Minimum 7+ years of experience in business and systems analysis, including 5+ years of hands-on experience with Pega PRPC in enterprise environments

Demonstrated success in delivering end-to-end Pega solutions within large-scale digital transformation or IT projects

Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, product owners, and business stakeholders

Background working in diverse industries such as healthcare, telecommunications, or financial services is considered an asset

Strong knowledge of the Pega platform, including case design, rule configuration, workflows, decisioning, and integrations

Proficiency with Agile tools and platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, and HP ALM

Familiarity with databases and data formats including SQL, JSON, REST/SOAP APIs

Excellent business process analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Ability to manage priorities, timelines, and competing demands in fast-paced project environments
