Job Description

Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) WeeCare Pediatric Home Health Care is currently hiring a Full-time RPN. If you enjoy working as a private duty nurse in a home care environment, this is the job for you!! Shifts are 8 or 12 hours (nurse can choose) and there is also flexibility with the specific nights. 32-36 hours per week. Must have received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine or combination of COVID-19 vaccines approved by Health Canada (e.g., two doses of a two dose vaccine series or one dose of a single dose vaccine series); AND have received the final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to the official start date of hire. Duties

• Client has a tracheostomy but tracheostomy experience is not necessary
• Administer and document medications as prescribed
• Monitor and maintain the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics
• Maintain child\'s records and required documentation in accordance with CNO standards
• Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living
• Observe and report on changes in child\xe2\x80\x99s condition to parent/guardian
• Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transferring, and adaptive aids
• Demonstrate understanding of child\xe2\x80\x99s needs and maximize abilities
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child/parent/guardian
• Respond to client/parent/guardian concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken
• Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including child\xe2\x80\x99s equipment and belongings
• Notify supervisor of any concerns impacting child\xe2\x80\x99s safety
• Complete all other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the CNO
• Experience working with pediatrics
• Current BLS certification
• Vulnerable Sector check within the last six months
• Professional liability insurance
• Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s licence and reliable vehicle

Job Type: Full-time Salary: $30.00 per hour Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekend availability
