Responsibilities
Assess and develop treatment plans for children with a range of conditions, including developmental delays, neurological disorders, musculoskeletal conditions, and genetic conditions.
Provide engaging, play-based therapy to enhance movement, strength, coordination, and functional abilities.
Work closely with families, providing education and support to help them integrate therapy into daily life.
Collaborate with a
multidisciplinary team
, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, and educators, to provide holistic and comprehensive care.
Participate in case conferences and team meetings to ensure coordinated support for each child.
Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to ongoing service development.
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you should have:
A degree in Physiotherapy and registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.
Experience or a strong interest in paediatric physiotherapy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A warm, patient, and playful approach to working with children and families
A strong commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
A passion for helping children reach their fullest potential
