We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with neurodiverse children between the ages of 3 and 18.
Responsibilities
Assessment and intervention in paediatric occupational therapy ages 3-16 with variety of diagnosis including: ASD, SPD, ADHD, DCD, LD, PDA, Seizure Disorders, Brain Injury, Retts Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Global Developmental Delay, Cognitive challenges, Handwriting/printing challenges, Dysgraphia, Gross motor and Fine motor delays, etc.
Report writing and providing consultation and recommendations to parents, schools, and care givers; attending IEPs, parent meetings; and working collaboratively with other professionals. This position requires strong communication and writing skills, and the ability to connect with children and their parents.
Experience/Qualifications
1+ years of experience in public or private pediatric setting
Registery of Autism Service Providers (RASP) list qualification an asset. RASP supervision and mentorship available.
New graduates are welcome with mentorship and training provided
Member of College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $80.00-$100.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week
