Responsibilities
Provide
engaging, neuroaffirming,
and
play-based
occupational therapy services to children with a variety of developmental needs.
Conduct
comprehensive assessments
and create individualized treatment plans.
Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team to support each child's progress.
Use creative and innovative therapy techniques to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and daily living skills.
Educate families and provide strategies for continued success at home and school.
Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings to ensure the highest level of care.
Supervision and support for OTA (Occupational Therapy Assistants)
Skills
A registered
Occupational Therapist (OT)
with experience or a strong passion for working with children. Must be in good standing with ACOT.
Strong skills in the areas of
sensory processing, fine/gross motor development, regulation, and self-care/activities of daily living
.
A creative and playful approach to therapy--Kids learn best when they're having fun!
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
A commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.
Additional Assets
? Experience supporting clients and families with a variety of daily living, regulation, and feeding needs
? Experience working with
neurodivergent clients
? Bilingual skills (language diversity is a strength!)
