Community Advantage Rehabilitation
(CAR) is looking for a
Registered Occupational Therapist
to provide services to pediatric clients focusing on fine motor development. This is a grassroots opportunity as it allows for the successful applicant to participate in program development, creating tailored interventions that meet the needs of the pediatric community.

OT Responsibilities:
Provide private Occupational Therapy services to pediatric client's in-person and/or virtually
Provide direct treatment and consultation, both individually and in small groups
Provide occupational therapy assessment to identify strengths, challenges, and therapeutic objectives
Plan, organize and implement occupational therapy sessions tailored to each child's behavioral, sensory, developmental, and social needs
Assign care plan, and provide supervision and monitoring of occupational therapy assistants when appropriate
Effectively communicate information by providing education to client/caregivers
Complete and maintain current and accurate documentation related to assessment findings, care plans, progress and discharge summaries according to CAR, the referral source and COTO standards using EMR technology
Participate in program development and evaluation
Requirements:
Registered Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (required)
Experience working within a community setting is an asset but new graduates are welcome
Ability to work independently and as part of an inter-professional team
Ability to prioritize, manage self-scheduling and meet reporting deadlines
Excellent oral, written and report writing skills
Proficiency with computers
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Reliable transportation is required for this position
