Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse specializing in Pediatrics to join our care for our child. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pediatric nursing, demonstrating exceptional clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care to children. This role involves working closely with patient and their family, ensuring a supportive and healing environment while managing various medical conditions. (Shifts are Saturday 7am to 5pm and/or Sundays 7am to 4pm with optional respite shifts 5pm to 9pm)

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric client, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.

Perform tracehostomy care and suctioning.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate medication administration and monitoring for side effects. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team. Assist in pain management strategies tailored to the needs of pediatric patients. Maintain a safe and clean medical office environment while adhering to infection control protocols.

Requirements

Current HCA or LPN license. Previous experience in Pediatrics is preferred;

experience with tracheostomy clients is a plus.*
Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact with child and their family compassionately. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is preferred. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in pediatric nursing.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 19 per week
