About the Role

We are looking for high potential individual with strong commitment to the actuarial profession to support the Appointed Actuary in the following responsibilities:

• Canadian statutory reserving and reporting under IFRS 17
• Financial forecast modelling, Financial Condition Testing (FCT) and ORSA process
• Transition to and stabilization in IFRS 17, working closely with local and global project teams and across functions, eg. Finance, IT, etc.
• Ad hoc projects and provide supports to peers

About the Team

This position will report to the P&C Appointed Actuary based in in Toronto, Canada. The P&C Actuarial Management team comprising of five people in Toronto, reports to the Head Actuarial & Reserving P&C Americas. We are responsible for all the corporate actuarial requirements of Swiss Reinsurance Canada Ltd, Canadian Branch and Swiss Re Corporate Solutions America Holding Corporation, Canadian Branch (collectively the "Canadian Branches").

About You

• University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics
• Experience in reserving, capital modelling and knowledge on financial reporting (eg. IFRS 4/IFRS 17) preferred
• 3+ years actuarial experience
• Good progress on actuarial exams (ACAS or similar) and strong commitment achieving FCAS/FCIA designation in near future
