Job Description

We are looking to fill the position of

Payroll Technician (Maternity Coverage - 12 months)

at

Fernie Alpine Resort

. This is a full-time role, working closely with the resort team, with specific guidance and support from our Senior Payroll Coordinator. You will collect, verify and process payroll information, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and punctually. You Will:




Overall responsibility of the payroll function, systems and electronic time cards Assist and train all users to enable the most efficient use of Time & Attendance Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing service to employees by inputting payroll data from Time & Attendance Meet payroll deadlines as required Timely distribution of pay statements and ROEs Respond to employees' inquiries and assist in the resolution of payroll issues Respond to requests from external sources Have a general understanding of payroll laws and standards Assist with payroll related projects and reports such as T4s, taxable benefits, reporting, etc. Ensure the payroll systems and files are kept up-to-date Liaise with HO payroll and HR personnel as required Assist with benefits coordination and other payroll-related functions as required Perform other administration, accounting, and business reporting tasks as required Assist with other duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the business





You Have:




Work experience within a payroll department and/or knowledge of ADP payroll systems will be an asset Interpersonal, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook, and Windows Ability to multitask and prioritize workflow to meet deadlines Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
