Job Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our client on a contractual opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with relevant regulations, and maintaining precise records. The Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the organization by managing payroll-related tasks, addressing employee inquiries, and collaborating with other departments.

Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:
- Execute end-to-end payroll processes, including data input, validation, and distribution of paychecks.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance within accordance to payroll regulations.
- Process special payments, bonuses, and other payroll-related transactions.

Record Maintenance:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including salary adjustments, tax withholdings, and other payroll-related information.
- Reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Compliance:
- Stay current on relevant labor laws, tax regulations, and industry best practices.
- Implement and ensure compliance with all payroll-related policies and procedures.

Communication and Support:
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, providing excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to address and resolve payroll-related issues.

Reporting:
- Generate and analyze payroll reports for management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
- Prepare and submit statutory reports as required by regulatory bodies.

- Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
