WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the processing of several multi-jurisdictional salary and hourly payrolls and a monthly pensioner payroll in an accurate and timely manner. They will take care of year-end payroll processing and reporting, as well as all payroll related accounting and account reconciliations.

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for processing all transactions related to several multi-provincial biweekly, hourly and salaried payrolls in an accurate and timely manner
• Make all payroll updates relating to benefits and pension contributions. Prepare all biweekly payroll deductions reporting and process and issue ROE\'s
• Support the year-end payroll process, such as: T4,s, RL\'s, T4A\'s and T2200\'s, EHT, WSIB and Year-end summaries
• Assist with internal and external payroll audits, annual compensation, benefits and annual KPI bonus payments
• Liaise with HR team to maintain accurate payroll records and verify payroll adjustments (new hires, employee transfers, pay increases, terminations, leave of absences, vacation pay, benefit and pension contributions)
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders including government agencies
• Ensure and maintain knowledge and compliance of all federal and provincial payroll legislation

Job Requirements:

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• College or University degree or equivalent work experience
• Completion of Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification
• 5 years of payroll experience
• Detailed-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and takes ownership of their work
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• A high level of confidentiality and professionalism
• Knowledge of accounting principles and concepts
• Proficiency in ADP WFN, Kronos, ROE Web, WSIB web based systems
