WHAT YOU BRING
3+ years of Canadian payroll experience
Strong knowledge in Microsoft applications;
exceptional
understanding of Excel and experience in Word and Outlook
Experience in using ADP Workforce Now is an advantage
Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification, preferred
Equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered

WHAT YOU DO
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for best-in-class services completing the following:
Preparation and processing of hourly, flat rate/commission and salaried payroll (semi-monthly and monthly) in a timely and accurate manner.
Working closely with Location Managers and HR to ensure accuracy of payroll.
Maintaining ADP payroll employment records as employee life cycle changes.
Calculating taxable benefits relating to vehicles and insurance.
Preparing Records of Employment, T4s and any other documents are required.
A strong knowledge and application of provincial employment standards and payroll legislation.
Assist in resolving issues/concerns or direct them to the appropriate resource.
Prepare various financial and payroll reports through ADP.
Providing timely answers to payroll inquiries.
Understands, safeguards and adheres to company processes.
Produce monthly reports as required.
Provide support to the finance team with payroll reconciliations and schedules.
Ability to multitask to meet various deadlines.
Process expense reports.
Other duties/special projects, as required by the business or as directed by their manager.
