As a
Payroll Specialist
at Forvis Mazars, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a diverse client base. You will be responsible for maintaining payroll data, processing new hires and terminations, managing employee leaves and deductions, and handling year-end reporting. Your ability to deliver quality service while maintaining strict compliance will make a difference for our clients and our team.

? Your Responsibilities
Process payroll for clients with varying levels of complexity, in accordance with agreed deadlines
Track payroll schedules and frequencies for each client
Update payroll systems with changes such as new hires, salary adjustments, and benefits enrollment
Respond to client inquiries with professionalism and care
Manage time-off banks (vacation, personal, sick days) and legal garnishments
Produce Records of Employment (ROEs) and payroll reports
Handle year-end processing including T4/RL-1 slips and summary reports
Support the continuous improvement of tools and processes and perform related tasks as needed

Your Profile
DEC in accounting or equivalent diploma
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role
Currently pursuing or planning to obtain the
National Payroll Institute (NPI)
certification
Solid knowledge of payroll systems such as
Desjardins
,
Nethris
or similar
Strong command of
Microsoft Office 365
(especially Excel and Outlook)
Understanding of payroll compliance rules (asset)
Able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Discreet, professional, and client-oriented
Excellent communication skills in
French and English
, spoken and written
