I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team, experts in finance, speak your language and operate in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll professions.I am looking for a Payroll Manager for my client in the manufacturing sector. This is a permanent position in hybrid mode with only 2 days in the office in Granby.

  • Process the payroll of approximately 250 weekly and bi-weekly employees as well as executive payroll;
  • Ensure that salaries are accurately calculated and paid to employees in accordance with applicable laws and regulations;
  • Prepare pay statements;
  • Comply with all legislative requirements regarding disclosure, tax reporting and withholding;
  • Ensure the production of statements and reports, annual reports (CNESST, CARRA, T4 Summary, etc.);
  • Respond to requests from managers and employees regarding various problems and make the necessary corrections (payroll errors, salary, vacation, taxable benefits, taxes, etc.);
  • Administer the maintenance of employee data (including the preparation of detailed reports, e.g. overtime, leave balances, various bonuses and pension contribution reports);
  • Process job terminations according to the rules established by government levels;
  • Act as super user for the HR Information System (Ceridian/Dayforce);
  • Support the human resources team in various administrative tasks and in process optimization.
  • DEC in administration, finance or related field;
  • Accumulate 3 years of relevant experience in dealing with the complete payroll cycle and legislative payroll rules;
  • Mastery of the MS Office suite including an intermediate level of Excel software;
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in French and English (for communication with internal and external clients);
  • Comfort with payroll systems;
  • Hold an accreditation from the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) (As an asset, if you do not have it, it will be planned for you during your first year);
  • Very good sense of organization and priority management;
  • Possess a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, precision and rigor;
  • Respect the confidentiality of information and use discretion.
