Role: Payroll Manager
Location: Downtown Montreal (Hybrid: 2 days at the office/3 days remote)
Salary: $120,000 (based on experience)

Our client, an engineering company based in downtown Montreal, is looking for a Payroll Manager to lead their payroll team.

The Payroll Manager will oversee all activities within the payroll function and implement appropriate payroll policies, while ensuring compliance with all government payroll reporting requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
- Respond to complex inquiries from employees and other internal stakeholders
- Develop and maintain controlled policies and procedures for the department
- Serve as primary contact with payroll vendors
- Collaborate with Human Resources and Accounting about payroll system issues

Requirements:
- Member of the CPA (National Payroll Institute)
- Minimum 6 years\' experience in full-cycle payroll
- Minimum 2 years\' supervisory experience in the payroll department
- Bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written)
- Union experience, an asset
- Independent judgment
- Leadership skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects to ensure deadlines are met
