Payroll Coordinator

About the Position:
The Payroll Coordinator position requires you to have extraordinary attention to detail, work as part of a small team and the ability to communicate effectively to people at all levels. Below are more of the responsibilities and proficiencies required:
Specific Responsibilities
Co-ordinate timely collection and data entry of vacation/ statutory holiday/leave of absence and other payroll/benefits information as required
Prepare and input payroll data into ADP to ensure timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for multiple shifts and locations. Ensure completeness and accuracy of payroll data including employer and employee payroll taxes, benefits and other deductions
Process participant enrollments and changes, account invoicing/reconciliations, and related record keeping for group benefit and retirement savings plans
Input and maintain accurate employee payroll and benefit data in ADP payroll software and employee Payroll/Benefit files.
Resolve payroll/benefit/pension discrepancies and issues with the appropriate person(s) in a timely manner
Prepare and distribute Payroll related communications, administer Workforce Now
Perform annual vacation audits for each department to ensure vacation information is complete and accurate. Enter vacation time into Time and Attendance Module once received from Managers/Supervisors
Provide various reports and/or reconciliation's for payroll, overtime, headcount, benefits, and other data as required and requested by management for administration of the company
Other duties as assigned and requested by Manager/Supervisor
About You:
The successful candidate(s) must be willing to learn, open-minded and flexible, organized and detail oriented, team oriented, disciplined, and must have a positive attitude, along with the following qualifications:
Experience:
College Diploma or equivalent accredited education in Accounting/Bookkeeping/Payroll is preferred
Completion of or enrollment in the Canadian Payroll Association Certification program as Payroll Certified Practitioner
Minimum 3-5 years utilizing automated Payroll System and benefit/retirement savings plan administration experience.
Strong organizational skills with very high attention to detail
Experience with ADP Workforce Now & Pay@Work is preferred or equivalent
ERP experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 is an asset
Strong computer skills working with MS Office applications (particularly Excel)
Experience working in an ERP environment an asset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bilingual both written and oral in French is an asset
Familiarity with Provincial guidelines
Superior interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels including executive management
Exhibit a demonstrated ability to ensure a high degree of confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy
