Payroll and Onboarding Coordinator

--a detail-oriented professional who ensures our people are paid accurately and welcomed to the RAN team warmly.

About the Role





Reporting to the

Director of People and Culture

and working

closely with the Finance Department

, the Payroll and Onboarding Coordinator is responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting an exceptional employee experience from day one. You'll bridge payroll and people operations--handling payroll compliance and reporting requirements, onboarding coordination, benefits administration, and setup for new staff.



Your work will help new hires feel equipped, connected, and supported while ensuring all payroll and reporting processes run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities




Payroll and Reporting




Process bi-weekly payroll, verifying hours, approvals, and deductions. Prepare and submit payroll reports to the Finance Department. Maintain payroll accuracy and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Process final pays and ROE's in a timely manner.

Onboarding and Employee Experience




Coordinate all pre-employment forms, training, and background checks. Guide new hires through payroll setup, benefits enrollment, and system access. Prepare onboarding materials and collaborate with managers for smooth team integration. Distribute uniforms and coordinate with IT for email, device, and software setup.

Collaboration




Partner with the Finance Department on payroll reporting and reconciliations. Work with managers and People & Culture to enhance the onboarding experience and maintain compliance.



Qualifications




Diploma or certificate in Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field. Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation or actively working toward it strongly preferred. Experience with payroll software and HRIS platforms (BambooHR, Payworks). Strong understanding of payroll processes, onboarding, and benefits administration. Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detail.

Schedule




Full-time, Monday-Friday (8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.), on-site in Chilliwack Occasional travel between local sites
