POSITION: Payroll and Benefits Administrator??(Onsite - Calgary AB.)

WHAT YOU NEED?(QUALIFICATIONS):
At least 3 years of experience in managing and processing payroll for 250+ employees and a CPP designation would be considered an asset.
Post-secondary education in Business Administration or related field is considered an asset.
Clear Criminal Record and Children Intervention checks.

Set Schedule: Mondays - Fridays (8:00am - 4:30pm)

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING??(JOB DUTIES):
the payroll and benefits administrator will do the following;
Coordination of all aspects of the payroll system
Upon request, complete all confirmation of income letters for employees.
Responsible for accurately processing monthly payroll for salaried and hourly employees including:
Assist in maintaining a master file database, updating employee personal data and deduction information.
Collate and review timesheets and audit data to ensure compliance with company policy and federal and provincial laws and provide validation of appropriate hours in payroll system.
Distribute pay stubs to all employees via email.
Respond to all government agencies regarding any wage garnishments and update employee records accordingly.
Create reports of payroll data to support payroll processes and financial analysis requests.
Process and pay expense claims, process ROE's, and RRSP contributions.
Assist accounting department with accounts receivable and payable functions as maybe needed.
Performs other administrative duties as required or assigned.
Responsible for administering Benefit Plan and process claims.
Act as Agency liaison for agency employees, clarify claims information, reports, give phone advice and direction with regards to benefit information
Is aware of Agency Policy and Procedures as they apply to payroll and employment standards.
Establish and maintain a positive/professional rapport during formal/informal meetings, in-services and appointments.
Acts as a positive role model for all employees as per Agency expectations.
Meeting assigned timelines.
Ensures that all paperwork and written correspondence is completed to a high level of competency.
Ability to exercise extreme confidentiality in discussions regarding employee's compensation and personal information, as well as the company's financial data.
