As Payroll Specialist, a typical day might include the following:



Ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for both salaried and hourly employees for 2 dealership stores Handle all employee payroll-related inquiries with professionalism and efficiency Process monthly bonus and commission payments Prepare and file year-end payroll documentation, including T4, T4A, T5, T5018, and other required forms Reconcile payrolls in alignment with the year-end calendar Calculate and submit WSIB remittances within established deadlines Administer garnishment orders, Employment Insurance (EI) claims, and correspondence with government agencies Prepare and issue Records of Employment (ROEs) as needed Coordinate timely and accurate enrollment and updates to employee benefit plans Support the onboarding process for new hires Prepare and calculate year end EHT and WSIB reconciliations Review update and reconcile all benefits costs Administer group benefit plan Post all payrolls and payroll accruals Provide general support to the accounting team across a range of tasks Perform other related duties as assigned

This job might be right for you if:



Minimum of five years of relevant experience

Proficient in Reynolds and ADP Workforce software

Prior experience working in an automotive dealership environment Post-secondary education in Accounting, Payroll, or a related field Solid understanding of Employment Standards Act (ESA) regulations PCP designation required Excellent time management and organizational abilities Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including , Excel, and Word Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and solve problems effectively Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
