Payroll Administrator



Penn-co Construction is a leading construction company currently hiring a Payroll Administrator to join our team working at our office located in Steinbach, MB. As the Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible assisting in processing payroll on a bi-weekly basis, on time and with accuracy. Competent with handling tight deadlines and confidential information. Penn-co offers an excellent benefits package and competitive salary. Responsibilities

- Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and unionized employees.

- Maintain payroll data such as employee records, including new hires and terminations.

- Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations.

- Prepare and complete remittances.

- Assist with production and timely distribution of T4's and other year end reporting.

- Maintain detailed records and documentation of all payroll transactions.

- Accounts Payable duties such as, but not limited to, processing vendor invoices, prepare and process payments, maintain vendor files.

- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Minimum two years of recent payroll experience or educational equivalency.

- Working-level knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations and guidelines.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.

- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail. Ability to meet tight deadlines.
