OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE:



Our payroll dept of 2 individuals is seeking a Payroll Administrator responsible for assisting in the process of regular and off-cycle payroll processing, analytical reporting, back-up, timesheets, updating payroll records, year-end requirements and answering employee questions about payments etc. for all 5 divisions of the organization.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Payroll Processing & Maintenance



Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and in compliance with federal and provincial regulations using Ceridian Dayforce.

Maintain up-to-date payroll records, including new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, and off-cycle runs.

Calculate and track weekly commissions; maintain commission database.

Prepare bi-weekly payroll journal entries for accounting purposes.

Maintain and update the vacation liability tracking system.

Reporting & Compliance



Ensure timely preparation and submission of payroll-related filings, including:

o Monthly and quarterly remittances: WCB, CRA, BC EHT, Ontario EHT, and Manitoba HET.

o Year-end reporting: T4s, T4As, T2200s.

Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure accuracy of all remittances and deductions.

Collaboration & Support



Serve as the main point of contact for payroll-related questions from managers and employees.

Liaise with internal teams (Managers, Supervisors, Sales Administrators) to collect and verify payroll data.

Provide payroll reports to Finance, HR, and senior management as required.

Support both Payroll and Finance departments in administrative and operational tasks as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:



Required:

Demonstrated experience with Ceridian Dayforce payroll systems is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity. Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. Accounting designation or equivalent experience. Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation or equivalent experience is an asset. Experience with payroll-related statutory reporting across multiple Canadian provinces.

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
