Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in various payroll and accounting software systems.

Responsibilities



Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, and local regulations. Maintain employee records including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status. Perform data entry tasks related to payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of payroll-related accounts. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analyses related to payroll expenses. Collaborate with the human resources department to address employee inquiries regarding payroll issues. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, ADP, or others to manage payroll functions effectively. Ensure proper documentation and filing of payroll records in accordance with company policies.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role in accounting or human resources. Proficiency in payroll software such as

Payworks

. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices related to payroll processing. Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy. Ability to perform account reconciliation and bookkeeping tasks effectively. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate reporting and compliance. Familiarity with labor laws and regulations affecting payroll processing is preferred. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
