Your Role


Join our Finance team as a Payroll Administrator where you have an opportunity to make an impact to our growing company. As a Payroll Administrator you'll report directly to the Controller and will be responsible for processing non-union payroll bi-weekly pay cycles in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities



Perform all payroll activities including:

Bi-weekly hourly, and salaried payrolls, using Ceridian Powerpay Input new hires, terminations, rate changes, garnishments, and other data relating to employee records and payroll processing. Collaborate with work sites to ensure accurate and timely entry to timesheets and resolve time entry issues; assist with Time Entry as required. Process employee termination documents in an appropriate manner to meet legislative timelines, calculates final pay and cancels benefits when required. Payroll accounts reconciliation on quarterly and annual basis (including T4) Answer internal and external payroll inquiries Administer employee benefits programs (extended health benefits, RRSP) Prepare Journal entries related to payroll in accounting system Once a month make payments to vendors by credit card over the phone File and organize vendors invoices and statements

Skills and Qualifications



5+ years in payroll administration experience, preferably in a contruction Successful completion of Canadian Payroll Association PCP certification is an asset Experience working with time and attendance systems, Ceridian Powerpay preferred Experience with Office 365, Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Word, Excel) Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Excellent organization skills
