Are you a detail-oriented and skilled payroll professional seeking an exciting opportunity to contribute to a leading construction company? Based out of the Edmonton HQ, Clark Builders is looking for a Payroll Administrator for a 1-year contract with the possibility of extension, to become a valued member of our team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of our bi-weekly, multi-provincial payroll. Reports to: Payroll Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review time sheets in TimeTracker to ensure data for processing is accurate and meets all applicable provincial and federal employment standards legislation
Complete full cycle payroll
Complete ROEs on ROE web
Remit and reconcile RRSP and health benefit plan data
Complete government requested earnings confirmations
Research and prepare historical data as required
Reconcile Employee A/R accounts as required
Update and maintain payroll instructions, procedures, and processes
Perform all other related duties as required
Skills and Knowledge:
Able to build strong working relationships with various stakeholders
Excellent customer service skills
Enjoy teamwork and working in a team environment
Able to work in a high-paced environment and meet deadlines
Above average computer skills
Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality
Demonstrate professionalism when dealing with confidential and sensitive information
Knowledge of the construction industry is considered an asset
Experience with remittances and reconciliations is considered an asset
Experience with Workday, Success Factors or similar payroll software is considered an asset
Qualifications:
1 - 2 years Payroll experience preferable in the construction industry
Professional certification (or pursuing) through National Payroll Institute (PCP) considered an asset
Post-Secondary diploma in Accounting or Business Administration considered an asset
