Payroll Processing

• Process bi-weekly payroll and remittances
• Process records of employment as required
• Verifying payroll reports and recording journal entries
• Confirming accuracy and approvals of timecards
• Stay up to date on applicable payroll legislation

Accounting Administration

• Assisting with sales processing, data entry and reconciling of accounts
• Helping to gather financial data and track expenses against budget allocations
• Ensuring proper filing and organization of financial documents for easy access
• Providing general administrative assistance to the finance team

General Administration

• Assisting in communicating with internal stakeholders by drafting emails, scheduling meetings, etc.
• Provide occasional administrative support to other departments
• Additional duties as assigned

Here is what you bring:

• Completed post-secondary diploma or greater in a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar capacity
• Experience working in a non-profit environment is an asset
• Knowledge of principles of accounting
• Proficiency with computer software, particularly Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, and Sage accounting software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping
