Job Purpose
The Payments Administrator (PA) completes corporate payments functions including processing and reconciling payments-related transactions, maintains a variety of payment and financial records, provides reports as required, participates in projects for the department, and adheres to internal audit, security, compliance, and privacy policies and procedures.
As a member of the finance team, the PA plays an essential role in aiding and supporting all staff members and management through service excellence while fostering relationships with their positive attitude and keen quest for knowledge.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Fosters relationships through service excellence and knowledge to support staff with their payments and settlements needs,
Responsible for corporate payments and settlements maintenance, balancing and processing; including, but not limited to incoming and outgoing clearing, Central 1 account, ATM / POS, related electronic files & reports from Central 1, rejected items, vouchers, and suspense accounts, CRA payment and other negotiable instruments, and general ledger system,
Prepares and posts accounts payable as required,
Ensures timely processing of payment trace requests, and rejected items, while keeping the member informed of results,
Processes daily overdraft report by reporting overdrafts for authorization returning items that create an unauthorized overdraft within predetermined time limits,
Assists in ad hoc Payments and Finance projects to support management,
Demonstrates a good level of risk management knowledge and ensures adherence to all legislative and regulatory requirements, security, and privacy policies and procedures,
Positively and comfortably responds to member requests and inquiries,
Supports staff and encourages collaboration to accomplish common goals.

Demonstrates a good knowledge and growing aptitude for computer-based literacy skills and technology, including MS Windows and Office program environments,

Qualifications
Secondary School Diploma
2-5 years general accounting or clearing
Combined experience and post-secondary education in the areas that are directly related to industry will be considered
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $46,000.00-$61,000.00 per year
