We are looking for a career minded dedicated person to join our team For the successful candidate we offer: Onsite training, competitive wages, a comprehensive benefit plan and retirement savings profit sharing program, assistance for continuing education and an exciting work environment Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Duties associated with line painting, crack sealing and other road working activities \xc2\xb7 Help clean and prepare work sites \xc2\xb7 Load and unload materials or equipment into work vehicles \xc2\xb7 Assist in the set up and take down traffic control as per Ontario Book 7, including the assistance with the placement, move and dismantling of road signs, traffic barrels or cones and flagging operations \xc2\xb7 Maintain and clean equipment, conducting routine maintenance or minor repairs as required \xc2\xb7 Perform housekeeping duties within the shop and yard \xc2\xb7 Work safely and conform with all health and safety policies \xc2\xb7 Perform other duties as required and as assigned Requirements: \xc2\xb7 Mechanical inclination to understand, maintain and perform minor repairs on equipment \xc2\xb7 Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and dependable transportation \xc2\xb7 Produce a clean drivers abstract \xc2\xb7 Willingness to work in all types of weather and temperatures \xc2\xb7 Willingness to work assigned night or day shifts, with the flexibility to work long shifts \xc2\xb7 Be physically fit and able to lift up to 30 kg. \xc2\xb7 Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors and the general public in a courteous, professional manner at all times. \xc2\xb7 Must be able to work well in a team environment, have a strong work ethic and a \xe2\x80\x9ccan-do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude Previous experience in road work, construction and pavement marking is preferred, but not essential.
