Main tasks:
- Prepare, assemble, and decorate cakes, pastries, and desserts according to company standards
-Create decorations using buttercream, icing, fondant, chocolate, and other specialized techniques
-Design custom creations based on client requests (themes, colors, styles)
-Use piping bags, spatulas, and specialized tools to create artistic effects
-Prepare and color creams, icings, and ganaches for decoration purposes
-Assemble cake tiers and ensure their stability and finishing
-Ensure consistency, precision, and aesthetic quality in every product
-Follow hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards at all times
-Manage inventory related to decorations (coloring products, tools, decorative elements, boxes, supports)
-Work closely with the pastry team to coordinate production
-Meet preparation deadlines for daily orders and special events
- Develop new design ideas and contribute to the creation of new products
-Package decorated cakes and pastries to ensure safe transportation
Languages: English and/or French oral and comprehension
Experience needed: Minimum of 24 months of experience as a pastry decorator
Important Qualifications of applicant:
-Demonstrated skill in cake and pastry decorating techniques, including piping, glazing, icing, fondant work, and chocolate decorations.
-Strong sense of aesthetics, creativity, and attention to detail to ensure visually appealing and consistent products.
-Ability to follow specific design requirements and adapt creations to client requests and seasonal themes.
-Excellent time-management skills and ability to work under pressure, particularly during peak production periods.
-Consistent respect of production standards, recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
-Thorough understanding and application of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in all tasks.
-Strong communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with pastry chefs and production staff.
-Adaptability and problem-solving skills when facing last-minute changes or product adjustments.
-Manual dexterity, steady hands, and physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of precision and professionalism.
Education: Pastry making diploma is mandatory
