Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, experienced

Patio / Interlock Estimator & Site Foreman

to play a key role in both the

pre-construction

and

on-site execution

of our hardscape projects. This position bridges the gap between sales, estimating, and field operations, ensuring projects are accurately quoted, professionally built, and delivered on schedule.

The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating patio and interlock projects, coordinating materials and labour, and leading crews on site to ensure quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Conduct on-site measurements, evaluations, and client consultations Interlock patios, walkways, driveways, steps, and retaining walls Base preparation, excavation, drainage, and finishing details Interlock stone, base materials, bedding sand, edging, and geotextile Prepare professional quotes and scopes of work Assist with job costing and post-job reviews to improve estimating accuracy Work closely with management to maintain pricing standards and margins

Experience

Proven experience in construction estimating, project management, or related roles within the construction industry Strong knowledge of construction processes, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations Proficiency in Bluebeam for document review and collaboration tools Experience with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly desirable Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively Familiarity with construction management principles and best practices in project delivery

Site Foreman / Field Operations

Lead and supervise patio/interlock crews on active job sites Ensure work is completed according to drawings, specifications, and company standards Coordinate daily tasks, manpower, and equipment usage Monitor quality control for: Base depth and compaction Slopes and drainage Pattern alignment and finishing Enforce health & safety policies and safe work practices Communicate with clients on-site professionally and proactively Identify and resolve site challenges efficiently

Scheduling & Coordination

Coordinate material deliveries and equipment needs Assist with project scheduling and sequencing Report progress, delays, and issues to management Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites

Required Qualifications

3+ years experience in interlock / hardscape construction Proven experience estimating patio and interlock projects Strong understanding of: Base preparation standards Drainage and grading Retaining wall construction (asset) Ability to read site plans and sketches Valid G driver's license (AZ/DZ an asset) Strong leadership and communication skills

Preferred Skills & Assets

Experience running crews independently Experience with skid steers, plate compactors, saws, and small equipment Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Attention to detail and pride in workmanship Customer-service mindset Experience with commercial and residential projects
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 7 months

Pay: $25.08-$35.00 per hour
