, we are committed to delivering safe, professional, and compassionate stretcher transport for individuals requiring assistance between healthcare facilities, long-term care homes, and private residences.

Position Summary

As a

Patient Transfer Driver

based in the GTA, you will play a vital role in providing stretcher transport for non-emergency patients. You will work closely with a partner to ensure patients are moved safely, with care and respect, while adhering to Encore's high standards for clinical support and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Safely drive patients to and from hospitals, homes, and long-term care facilities in company vehicles Conduct

bed-to-bed stretcher transfers

with a partner, ensuring safe lifting and maneuvering Monitor and assist with

patient comfort and safety

during transport Utilize proper stair chair and stretcher handling techniques (training provided if needed) Complete daily vehicle and equipment checks Communicate effectively with dispatch, healthcare staff, and patients Attend mandatory training sessions to maintain certifications and skill level Maintain accurate patient records and documentation as required

Qualifications & Requirements

Valid

Ontario G

(clean driving abstract preferred) Must possess the following current certifications:

EMR (Canadian Red Cross or equivalent)

CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support)

Must be physically able to

lift 200 lbs with a partner

using proper body mechanics Strong

bedside manner

and a professional, caring attitude toward patients Ability to remain calm and confident in a fast-paced environment Experience in the healthcare or patient care field is an asset Prior use of

stretcher and stair chair equipment

is preferred (training provided if needed) Reliable, punctual, and a team player with excellent communication skills
