Overview

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate Dental Patient Care Coordinator to join our dental team. The individual will serve as the first point of contact for our patients and is responsible for ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience throughout the patient care journey. The ideal candidate will be professional, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet patients warmly and professionally, both in person and over the phone. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental practice management software. Verify insurance coverage and benefits, and explain financial obligations to patients. Collect and input accurate patient information and maintain confidentiality of all health records Facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently. Answer patient inquiries regarding dental procedures, billing, and office policies. Coordinate treatment plans with the clinical team and assist patients in understanding recommended procedures. Handle billing, payment collection, and financial arrangements, including setting up payment plans. Maintain a clean and welcoming front office environment. Manage patient recalls and follow-up appointments to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; diploma or degree or higher preferred. 1-2 years of experience in a dental or medical front office setting preferred. Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental). Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Empathetic and patient-focused demeanor. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance plans a plus.
