Le Beau is seeking a skilled

Pastry Cook

with direct experience in pastry and bakery production. This is a permanent, full-time position, and full availability is required, including weekends and holidays.

Main Responsibilities:

Prepare a variety of fillings, creams, jams, pastes, and glazes for pastries and desserts. Wash, cut, and prepare fresh fruits for tarts, cakes, and other items. Assemble and bake laminated dough products, cookies, danishes, buns, and cakes to-go. Prepare sandwiches and savory bakery items to Le Beau's standards. Decorate, garnish, and finish baked goods with strong attention to presentation. Follow recipes with precision, accurately measuring and weighing ingredients. Assist with chocolate production and seasonal/holiday specialties. Monitor and rotate ingredient inventory, ensuring freshness and proper storage. Operate, clean, and maintain bakery equipment and work areas. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Collaborate with the team to meet production schedules and fulfill large or custom orders.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience as a pastry cook, baker, or in a related role. Proven skills in producing pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, sweets, and pies. Hands-on knowledge of creams, fillings, jams, fruit prep, and decor. Diploma or certification in Baking and Pastry Arts (Red Seal or equivalent is an asset). Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume bakery environment. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work under pressure. Physically able to lift up to 25kg. French pastry-making experience is highly desirable.

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 44 per week
