What You'll Do
We are seeking a dedicated and curious
Pastry Cook
to join the culinary team at a luxury,
remote resort on British Columbia's West Coast, just outside of Tofino. This role is ideal for a
chef passionate about seasonally driven cuisine, hyper-local sourcing, and refined fine-dining execution, inspired by the land, sea, and cultural heritage of the region.
This is a seasonal, onsite position that runs from May 1st to October 1st. Onsite staff accommodation provided.

Seasonal, hyper-local ingredients sourced from the surrounding coastline, forests, and waters
Foraged elements gathered responsibly and in rhythm with the land
Line-caught and sustainably harvested seafood, reflective of West Coast waters
Indigenous-inspired ingredients and techniques, used with care, respect, and acknowledgment of their cultural significance
Clean, elegant plates that allow ingredients to speak for themselves

Key Responsibilities
Prepare desserts aligned with a fine-dining, seasonal philosophy
Work with local fruits, preserved elements, and house-made components
Support bread, breakfast baking, and special events as needed
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and consistency
What You Bring
Qualifications
Pastry or baking experience
Interest in seasonal and naturally inspired desserts
Attention to detail and strong prep skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a small team
Deeply passionate about hospitality and refined cuisine
Curious, humble, and eager to continue learning
Comfortable living and working in a very remote location
Strong team player with a thoughtful, respectful approach to ingredients and culture
Committed to completing the full season
Preferred Skills
Fine-dining experience preferred
Familiarity with dietary restrictions and accommodating guest needs.
OFA 3 / Advanced First Aid certification is an asset.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
Capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds
What We Offer
Hourly wage: $20-$25, depending on experience
