Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards. Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair while adhering to customer specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and menu items to enhance customer offerings. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Handle customer inquiries regarding dessert options, providing excellent customer service at all times. Package desserts for display or sale, ensuring they are presented attractively.

Experience

Proven experience in a pastry or baking role within a restaurant or food service environment is a must. Strong skills in cake decorating and presentation techniques. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment used in baking. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
