Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards
Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, including cake decorating techniques
Package finished products for retail or catering purposes, ensuring presentation quality
Assist in food production and food handling processes within the kitchen
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station in compliance with food safety regulations
Support catering events by preparing specialty desserts and assisting with setup
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production of baked goods for daily operations
Adhere to all food safety protocols and proper knife skills during food preparation
Skills
Proven experience in pastry arts, baking, or related culinary fields
Strong cake decorating skills with attention to detail
Knowledge of food industry standards including food handling, safety, and sanitation practices
Experience with food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or guests
Familiarity with packaging techniques for retail or catering purposes
Previous restaurant or catering experience is a plus
Creative flair combined with technical baking skills such as knife skills and food presentation techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards

Pay: $17.43-$25.04 per hour
