We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards
Decorate cakes and desserts with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal aligns with presentation standards
Handle food preparation tasks including mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station in compliance with food safety regulations
Package baked goods for retail sale or catering orders with attention to quality and presentation
Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and notifying management of supply needs
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods
Uphold excellent customer service by engaging with guests when appropriate and addressing special requests or dietary needs
Requirements
Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts within a restaurant or bakery environment
Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards in the food industry
Skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
Experience with food packaging and presentation for retail or catering purposes
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Previous kitchen experience in a fast-paced setting is preferred
Knowledge of food safety regulations and adherence to health standards is essential
