Nueltin Construction is a young and growing company specializing in high-performance Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) and Passive House construction. Enthusiasm and a can-do attitude: Simply put we're going above and beyond to build to a much higher standard. Many of the building approaches we're taking have required novel engineering and building envelope solutions to deliver B.C.'s first complete ICF Passive House. A good attitude and willingness to learn are key to your success in solving problems and achieving fit within the team. We always have time to ask questions and discuss first before we get after it and go hard!2. Experience: Residential/commercial construction experience is beneficial, but not required. Bonus if you've worked with Insulated Concrete Forms and have concrete formwork and ironwork experience.3. Travel and Hours: Ability to get to and from East Vancouver and expect to work flexible hours with 40+ hours per week depending on availability.Main Duties:
ICF formwork
Carpentry Framing
Concrete form-work
Structural Steel
Ironwork
Concrete placement and finishing
Passive house finishing details (taping, window sealing,)
Exterior Finishing
Interior Finishing (Drywall, flooring, cabinetry, trip, etc)Additional duties:
Reading and interpreting blueprints
Understanding customer requirements
Managing peers (dividing job tasks, working as a team)
Knowledge of building codes and regulations
Knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (Occupational Health and Safety)
Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in carpentryWages:

Why does this matter you ask? What is the Energy Step Code?By 2032 at the latest, and in jurisdictions like North Vancouver it's already here (Step 5 now in force - July 1st, 2021!), all new homes need to be net-zero energy ready in BC. This means for companies like Nueltin that are actively building past Step 5 (Passive House = Step 5 +!), we're beyond ready and ahead of the curve. We're actively completing projects and implementing solutions that all builders will soon be required to learn if they wish to continue building in BC. The work we do is at the cutting edge building envelope systems with high resiliency and attention to detail. We are most definitely a high performance team but we're also a team that has a lot of fun and passion for our work.
