Passenger Service Agent - Fiji Airways

who will provide direct support to the PAX Supervisor.

Implement all security and safety instructions, as per internal and external (regulation, airlines) requirements Use the required PPE (appropriate to the operation). Inspect and verify passenger documentation. Issue boarding passes and reschedule passengers affected by flight interruptions or cancellations. Manage passenger baggage processing, including handling and fee calculation, if applicable. Assist passengers as needed through arrival and check-in processes, including support for passengers with special needs such as unaccompanied minors (UM), VIP passengers and passengers requiring wheelchair assistance. Direct passengers through Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine, as required. Make public address announcements as required. Comply with all federal, provincial, municipal, airport authority and carrier security requirements and Samsic SOPs and policies. Operate equipment to include the jet way, computer keyboards, and carrier-specific reservation/ ticketing software. Produce all required, work-related documentation. Report incidents and other events/findings in relation to security and safety. Other duties as required.

Requirements & Qualifications



Previous experience in the aviation industry or in a similar role is preferred. Ability to lift 50 lbs independently Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays. Highly motivated and able to work well independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Able to multi-task and establish priorities in a dynamic and changing environment. Must always maintain a professional appearance and mannerisms. Able to work collaboratively as a productive member of the Samsic Airport Team. Able to obtain a Restricted Area Identification ID Pass (RAIC). Must successfully complete the Passenger Service Agent initial training course in accordance with airline standards. Always maintains the highest level of service expectations of both the passenger and the airline customer. Comply with all federal, provincial, municipal, airport authority and carrier security requirements. First Aid, CPR an asset. Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills. Professional, punctual, meticulous, and diligent. English language required. Must be 18 years of age.
