POSITION
We are looking for 2 skilled Part-Time Videographers/Photographers who will also provide essential IT and audiovisual support on non-recording days. This hybrid role is central to capturing high-quality visual content for our organization while ensuring the seamless operation of our video conferencing systems and digital conversion projects. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, comfortable both behind the camera and behind the scenes with technology.
Military experience is considered a significant asset.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will encompass:
Videography & Photography (Approx. 25% of time):
Film and photograph events, interviews, training sessions, and promotional materials with a high degree of professionalism
Operate, maintain, and manage camera, lighting, and audio equipment
Select, assemble and position equipment (cameras, tripods, cables, and etc.)
Execute basic post-production tasks, including video editing, color correction, audio mixing, and photo retouching
Manage and organize digital media assets
Monitor equipment usage and livestream that is being broadcasted from the event
IT & Audiovisual Support (Approx. 50% of time):
Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance - including but not limited to test, maintain, and troubleshoot computer and camera related issues
Provide technical support for video conferencing platforms, primarily Zoom and Polycom systems
Set up, test, and troubleshoot AV equipment in conference and meeting rooms
Assist staff with connectivity, audio, and video issues during virtual meetings
Provide general IT support tasks as needed, which may include software installation and basic user assistance
Create records of repairs and fixes
Address computer and administrative questions from customers
Coordinate with other staff and users to support the daily operation
Qualified candidates will be contacted for projects - equipment will be provided
Help stakeholders with technical issues, including but not limited to internet connection, Microsoft Office Suite, and etc.

Digital Conversion Projects (Approx. 25% of time):
Convert analogue video formats (e.g., VHS, Hi8) to digital files on non-recording days
Organize, label, and archive newly digitized content according to established protocols
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate must:
Submit a maximum of 3 minutes self introduction video
Proven experience in professional videography and photography.
Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, and Final Cut Pro)
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment (cameras, microphones, mixers, projectors)
Hands-on experience providing support for Zoom and other video conferencing solutions
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Ability to work independently, manage a variable schedule, reliably meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances - willingness to work irregular hours and travel across GTA needed
Aptitude for collaborative teamwork
Be able to carry about heavy equipment (30 lbs)
Have superior customer service skills and punctuality
Be highly comfortable in interacting with others, of varying personalities, in person, on the phone and through using remote tools
Attention to detail
Be willing to learn - be willing to learn and use a variety of computer applications
Desired Skills:
Formal training or certification in IT, AV technology, or a related field
Specific experience with Polycom video conference systems
Previous experience with analogue-to-digital video conversion processes
Knowledge of asset management and digital archiving best practices
Have cadets and military experience is an asset
WORK HOURS:
November to January, with possibility to extend.
While members are contacted for various projects, be prepared to work about 10 to 20 hours per week on:
Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm, 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday: 7:30 am to 1:30 pm, 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm
