Duties
: Reporting to the Associate Dean of the School of Health Sciences, the part-time Technologists support student learning in lab and clinical-based activities within the Massage Therapy Program at Fanshawe College. These positions are responsible for facilitating hands-on learning experiences and ensuring a safe, organized, and effective lab environment.
Responsibilities:
Assisting with the delivery of simulations using standardized skill sheets
Performing data entry and evaluation using checklists
Setting up and dismantling skill stations and clinical environments
Ensuring compliance with all health and safety protocols and control standards
Communication with patients and reception duties within the clinical setting
Qualifications
:
Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario
Minimum 2 years' recent RMT practical work experience
An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail
A strong commitment to student engagement and success
Ability to multi-task and work independently
Excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills
Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of people from different backgrounds
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Experience working with students in a professional learning environment would be considered an asset
Educational Credentials
