About the Part-time Professor, Hematology Role:




The Medical Laboratory Technologist program is seeking an experienced industry professional to lead the Hematology lecture. This advanced diploma program provides students with a comprehensive blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on training, covering both foundational and advanced concepts, techniques, and processes essential to the medical laboratory field.


The successful candidate will work as a collaborative team member to support course development and instruction through the creation and delivery of all course content including lectures, laboratory exercises, evaluations and other deliverables.

Education



A bachelor's degree or advanced diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences is required, a master's degree is preferred.

Experience/Skills




The ideal candidate must have a minimum of five years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist. Candidates must hold active licensure with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).

Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective instruction. Strong coaching and student support skills. Experience managing classroom dynamics and fostering a positive learning environment. In-depth knowledge and application of current pedagogical principles. A student-centered approach with a commitment to fostering innovation and positive change. Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive team culture. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
