Part-Time Sales Associate

to join our friendly, pet-loving team in Sault Ste. Marie!

About the Role:

As a Sales Associate, you'll be the face of our store -- greeting customers, helping them choose the right food, treats, and supplies, and ensuring every pet and person who walks through our doors feels welcome. You'll also help care for the animals in our store, including small animals, birds, reptiles, and fish. This position requires someone who is comfortable handling animals and isn't afraid to get a little hands-on.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge Assist customers with pet food and supply selection Handle and care for live animals (small animals, birds, reptiles, and fish) Maintain a clean and organized store environment Restock shelves and lift product boxes up to 50 lbs Operate point-of-sale (POS) system and process transactions accurately

Requirements

A positive, team-oriented attitude Comfortable handling animals of all types Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift Strong communication and customer service skills Retail or pet industry experience an asset, but not required -- we'll train the right person!

Schedule & Compensation

Part-time position, must be flexible on weekdays, evenings and weekends Employee discount on all pet food and supplies

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$18.10 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 16 per week
